I Threw Out My Beard Trimmer Today
I bought my beard trimmer in the summer of 2007. The world looked very different than. I was a seminary student studying to be a rabbi. I told almost nobody that I studied & socialized with that I was #ActuallyAutistic beyond those whom I knew to be autistic as well.
Sukkot and the Autistic Experience
The Jewish holiday of Sukkot begins tonight and I couldn’t be more excited. Sukkot is the Jewish harvest festival in which we celebrate by being outside with friends and family, eating and hanging out in makeshift booths that we keep up for the next week or so, partaking in the new fruits and reconnecting to nature.
Autism, Unmasking & Yom Kippur
For autistic Jewish people who observe the holiday, there are a number of sensory and psychological challenges that can come up.
