The AuDHD Experience Peer-Support Coaching Workshop

Are you seeking connection with fellow AuDHD (Autistic-ADHD) individuals who understand the journey that you’re on?

Are you looking for a teacher, mentor, or coach who is autistic and understands the challenges of living in a neurotypical society?

Join us to explore and embrace your AuDHD self in my 5-week autistic peer-support coaching program!

Regardless of whether you were diagnosed or self identified, you have spent years suppressing your autistic and ADHD identities and conforming to neurotypical norms. You’ve felt a lot of shame. Our focus will be on self-advocacy, unmasking, and cultivating self-care and self-regulation techniques. We will fight the stigma and reclaim ourselves for ourselves.

My autistic peer-support coaching group workshops are built in order to create community and bring together like-minded autistic people looking to grow their autistic self. We are all looking to find or get further in touch with our inner lives and unmask and live authentically.

Everyone will have an opportunity to share, to speak, to contribute, and to grow together in the small autistic communities we build together. All sessions are held on Zoom (virtual).

If you’re looking to benefit from autistic life coaching and support but want to also meet other autistic people and build your autistic community, these groups can be a life changing experience for you. Read some of the testimonials of past participants

  • Taking part in Matthew's workshop for late identified autistics was my first important step towards creating a neuro affirming life for myself.

    Melanie - Amsterdam

  • I felt so supported and understood by Matthew and all the wonderful people in my group. With that support, I was able to take steps to advocate for myself and my needs in ways that I probably wouldn’t have done on my own.

    Ryan - Vienna

In the safe and supportive space of the workshop, we explore various aspects of the AuDHD experience.

We begin by embracing the power of special interests, recognizing them as not only a source of immense knowledge and expertise but also a gateway to self-expression and fulfillment. We celebrate the autistic joy that arises from immersing ourselves in these passions, as they provide a profound sense of purpose and happiness.

We explore interoception and sensory sensitivity in autism, fostering awareness of individual sensory profiles and strategies to manage overwhelming stimuli for well-being. Our discussions cover emotional profiles, recognizing varied emotional experiences and promoting self-awareness and emotional regulation for stability. We focus on triggers and well-being, addressing meltdowns, shutdowns, burnout, and "bored out" experiences, while teaching self-care and resilience techniques. We also examine masking, balancing the effort of coordinating with neurotypical norms and honoring our authentic selves. Strategies for authentic social navigation and self-advocacy empower individuals to assert their rights. Lastly, we balance intense focus and unfocus, managing hyperactivity and impulsivity while fulfilling the need for new experiences alongside comfort.

In the AuDHD Experience, we take the time to celebrate the beautiful and intricate tapestry of both autistic and ADHD experiences, fostering a nurturing and inclusive space for personal growth, profound self-discovery, and meaningful connection. Together, we wholeheartedly embrace our uniqueness, actively support one another, and collectively embark on a transformative journey of self-acceptance and empowerment, knowing that each step is valuable in our shared experience.

  • Matthew is a kindhearted, skilled facilitator, makes the space welcoming, sets clear boundaries, and is passionately committed to his work and to his clients.

    Luz - Italy

  • Life-changing. Matthew is very good at what he does – I was right at the start of my understanding of my neurodivergence when I took the course and the learning was intense and immediately practical, the lessons I learned improving my life tangibly within weeks.

    Caro - Cambridge

I purposefully keep each autistic peer-support coaching workshop small, ensuring a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 participants alongside myself.

This intentional choice allows everyone in the group to have abundant opportunities to share their thoughts, speak openly, reflect on their experiences, and actively participate in the sessions.

While the scheduled duration of each group session is 90 minutes, the engaging discussions often extend beyond that time. Depending on the program, the groups meet once a week for 5 weeks.

In addition to the invaluable in-group sessions, participants gain access to a dedicated WhatsApp group specifically tailored to their unique cohort. This connection fosters ongoing communication and meaningful relationships between sessions, providing a supportive network that enhances the overall experience. Furthermore, I offer complimentary personal 1-on-1 support and coaching via WhatsApp throughout the entire program. This individualized guidance helps bridge the gap between sessions, offering tailored assistance that meets each participant's specific needs. My AuDHD group workshops are intentionally created as safe, welcoming spaces for AuDHD individuals. You are encouraged to authentically express yourself, without the need to mask or hide your true self. Feel free to be as visible or vocal as you feel comfortable, embracing your genuine identity. These groups serve as nurturing environments where you can freely stim and fully be yourself, surrounded by fellow AuDHD individuals and myself, who openly share their personal experiences and lives. Many participants have found these groups to be truly transformative and enriching.

As the facilitator and leader of the group, I foster an environment that promotes free-flowing participation and meaningful interaction among all members. The format is not one of a structured lecture complete with slides, but rather an organic and dynamic space where everyone's input is valued and respected equally. That being said, we do follow a set syllabus, ensuring that there is a coherent order to the material being discussed. However, it is crucial to note that these coaching groups are not a substitute for therapy or medical advice. While they offer valuable support and guidance, they are not intended to replace the expertise and specialized care provided by licensed therapists or medical professionals. I am well aware of the financial difficulties and struggles that many autistic adults encounter, and as such, I make every effort to ensure that all of my services are as accessible as possible for everyone who seeks them. It’s important to acknowledge that participating in this group requires a significant investment of your time, energy, and personal resources. I want to express my deep appreciation for your commitment and respect for the dedication that you are bringing to this process.
