Hi everyone! I apologize for not writing more often over the past few months, I’ve been super busy with the holidays, leading my Finding Your Autistic Self groups, my new autism discussion and affirmation circles, and starting up work on my newest project, which i’m sure excited to share with you here for the first time.

THE #ACTUALLYAUTISTIC TRAVELERS’ GUIDE TO THE WORLD!

I couldn’t be more excited to tell you all about it! I have started work on a new blog (and book!!!) project that will focus on world travel from an autistic POV. As many of you know, I’m an avid world traveler and have also lived in a number of countries and cities all around the globe. Like many of you, I love learning about and experiencing new cultures, but often have found the actual experience of traveling, finding new places, and being somewhere new as daunting. New sounds, languages, customs, and other sensory and emotional stimuli can be dis-regulating.

My new guide will look at the various parts of travel, including the mechanics of airports and train stations, self-regulation techniques before, during, and after your trip, navigating cultural differences, great places to eat for a variety of different sensory profile types, cultural sites and museums, book stores and other shopping venues, and places to stay.

I hope you’ll stay tuned to my future posts here and will shoot me your ideas of things you’d like me to speak about, questions you may have, or recommendations to check out some of YOUR favorite places!
